The Christian Life Association of Vermont's Security Conference
Featuring Full Armor Church
Will be at Barre Evangelical Free Church
Barre Vermont May 12, 2018 9am - 3pm
The Church Security Conference is an incredible equipping opportunity for you and your church leadership! Come and be trained to be prepared for any threat to your church or ministry by the premier church security ministry in the country! Dwayne Harris from Full Armor Church has years of experience both in ministry and law enforcement. He will be providing technical, targeted, expertise combined with Biblical, spiritually grounded wisdom.
Local law enforcement, fire safety, and ministry safety experts will also be presenting. We’ll be providing great food and an awesome worship team, too!
Church Group Package
We have an awesome package if you want to attend as a church. For $150 you can bring all of the people you want AND you can get a code to access the “Church Safety Conference Kit” on the Full Armor Church website. The kit has many of the Full Armor Church materials!!! All that we ask is for parties over six to bring another $5 per person for lunch. Train the staff, the entire elder board, even the pianist!
The conference is $25.00 for an individual attendee.
Active Shooter: The key to critical incident resolution is adequate planning and preparation. Dwayne Harris from Full Armor Church will be presenting what to do in an active shooter scenario.
Coordinating with Local Law Enforcement/Intro to ALICE: Officer Anthony Amaral of the Barre City Police Department will be discussing the importance of including local law enforcement in your security plans, as well as introducing us to ALICE Training option based tactics so we can more proactively handle an aggressive intruder or active shooter event.
Effective Emergency Plans: In the event of an emergency, a clear action plan is essential. Paul Cerutti of the VT Division of Fire Safety, Woodbury Fire Department, will be teaching us how to make an emergency plan that the congregation and staff can both trust and follow.
Safe Children in our Ministries: The safety of the children attending the church and church functions is of primary importance. Church at Prison will be sharing best practices for child safety in ministry.
Service and Safety with Our Addicted Neighbors: People who are struggling with addiction are something that is increasingly faced by churches. Teen Challenge will be presenting how to minister to those whose lives are affected by this problem with both the safety of the congregation and the needs of the sufferer in mind.
The Barre Evangelical Free Church is located at 17 South Main St. in Downtown Barre. This is also on state Rt. 14. We are just two buildings south of the Barre City Post Office and diagonally across the street from the old Barre City Fire station. The church is actually set down and behind a Shell Gas station so you only see a small part of it from the road
Parking is permitted in the designated spaces in the lot at BEFC. Should that lot fill up, parking is also available on the three parking spots on the street across from the church, in the spaces in front of the Unitarian Church, and behind the Barre Opera House.
Parking in the Basil’s lot, the Post Office lot, or the Tilden House lot is strictly forbidden. We encourage church groups to carpool. Feel free to drop a group off at the church before parking in an off-lot. Thank you for helping us be good neighbors.
